The client is a wealthy partner in a London-based equity investment firm. The client had previously received an offer from a bank, but the collateral requirements were too unreasonable for him. As a result, he contacted us to inquire about a potential replacement agreement.
We were able to negotiate a lower rate in order to keep up with his previous offer, but there was no collateral this time (except 5-6 months worth of mortgage payments in the current account). The insurance was required, however we received an excellent premium rate from an insurance broker with whom we work.
The downside was the duration of the process which was a bit slow as it was smack bang during the summer holidays.
